Vacancies / Positions:-

Drilling Site Supervisor

The Well Engineering department is accountable for the safe, compliant delivery of production, appraisal and exploration wells and well interventions with all associated activities. The WSS is ARA ’s senior onsite Wells representative on Wellsites in the field, managing the activities of multiple drilling and well service contractors. He/she is the key interface between office based planning activities and execution of the plan in the field and as such is a critical role. There may be a single WSS on site, or they may work in shift rotation. In either case the designated Snr.WSS is the senior accountable person on the site, with Night or Junior Supervisors accountable to him. He will be required to manage the operation and his time to ensure HSSE and well objectives are delivered 24hours/ day.
Candidate has proven track record, preferably with operator, with respect to supervising drilling & completions operations, managing safety, leadership, on site supervision and managing contractors. Optimally candidate will hold a BSc. or equivalent higher degree in the sciences or engineering disciplines, and have spent time in a Drilling, Completion, Well Engineering or similar role prior to becoming a well site supervisor. Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or more Drilling & Completion reporting and/or engineering software package. Candidate should hold or have recently held valid International Drilling Well Control Certificate at Supervisor Level (i.e. IWCF, WellCap).

Field Well Services Supervisor

Responsibilities, Accountabilities, Job Activities:
The Well Engineering department is accountable for the safe, compliant delivery of production, appraisal and exploration wells and well interventions with all associated activities. The Well Services Supervisor
will be responsible and accountable for:
a. Supervision, in field planning and co-ordination of Well Intervention/ Well Service activity, including workover rig and rigless activity, wireline, slickline and CT in the field.
b. Executing safe and secure well intervention operations compliant with ARA Policy, Standards and Procedures. Ensure that all activities are within national or local legislation. Verification of well intervention/ workover activity within design specification and ARA standards
c. Management of Well Service Contractors and Suppliers in the field to ensure safe and compliant delivery of Well Interventions activity.
d. Act as Area Authority during rigless well operations.
e. Supporting the Well Interventions Engineer during planning of Well Intervention, Workover and abandonment operations, both in the office and rigsite, including out of hours where required. Supporting the sourcing, tendering and evaluating of materials and services used in Interventions activities.
f. Supervision and technical support for the Drilling & Completions team during planning and execution of Completion operations for new wells.
g. Managing the daily reporting of well intervention activities. Support end of well reporting. Lessons Learned, Material and Cost Tracking.
h. Manage all field logistical activities that are associated with the above activities.
i. Liase with and co-ordinate infield activity with Production Supervisors and Field Manager including Field Handover and Acceptance of wells and wellsites between Wells and Production department.
Candidate will be field based during Well Intervention/ Well Servicing activities. When the work program is not continuous, Well Service Supervisor will be expected to work in Muscat Office to support planning activity. Work pattern will reflect the Field Based requirements (i.e. Rotational or Duty/Field break)
Initial responsibilities prior to contract COMMENCEMENT DATE include;
Supporting the development of intervention and workover related ARA Management Systems policy and procedures, including, including Control of Work and HSSE procedures.
Skills Required
Candidate has proven track record, with respect to planning and supervision of well intervention, workover and completions operations including wireline, e-line and CTU operations and HSE management. Candidate should have experience and track record of developing well intervention/ workover procedures & programs. Academically candidate will preferably hold a BSc. or Engineering Diploma. Where candidate does not hold an engineering qualification, shall be able to demonstrate sufficient technical or theoretical ability to meet the job accountabilities above. Candidate will have working knowledge of reporting and engineering software package. Candidate shall hold or have recently held valid International Interventions or Drilling Well Control Certificate (i.e. IWCF, WellCap or equivalent).
